SALIFOU LINDOU

Salifou Lindou
was born in Foumban in 1965. He lives and works in Douala. Untiring researcher,
Salifou tries out new materials unceasingly, often of recovery, to draw the best.
He belonged to the official selection of Biennial of African contemporary art of Dakar, Dak'art 1998.
Salifou Lindou is one of the members of the Kapsiki circle. As a member of the Kapsiki circle, it took part in " Urban Scenographies " (January 2003) He exposed (February 2003) a work at the Mam gallery within the framework of the project "Piece Unique" initiated by the French Cultural Centre. |

Revue Noire published an Anthology of African arts of 20th century...
, where some of the artists introduced in this section are quoted.
This anthology is an indispensable tool to discover the African contemporary art.
Number 13 of Revue Noire was devoted entirely to Cameroon. But it seems that it is out of print. One can also visit the website of Revue Noire.  Number 60 of the review Africultures ,
Cameroon:
La culture Sacrifiée(in fench on Amazon.fr), is also entirely devoted to Cameroon. The literature cuts the share of the lion but the visual arts are also treated of.
Hervé Yamguen seems omnipresent in this opus...
