Musics of Cameroon: Sally Nyolo

Originating in the South of Cameroun, Sally Nyolo lives in Paris since the age thirteen. After having been a chorus-singer and to be noticed by Peter Gabriel, she belongs to the vocal group Zap Mama.

In 1996, she resolutely launches out in her solo career with the release of her first album "Tribu" which proves to be a success. 300.000 sold specimens.

Author, composer, she nourishes rhythms and sounds of its area of origin that she interprets with her manner. She sings in her mother tongue, the Eton.

In the last two albums, she takes possession of the rhythm bikutsi, by putting her personal key at it.
