The south of Cameroon is covered by the equatorial forest. It is still partly at least since the forester exploitation is practised in an intense way there. Some species are already threatened of disappearance.

In this environment live Beti people. They practise hunting, fishing and cultivate, in glades, tapioca, marrows, peanuts, corn, plantains...
and a culture of revenue: cocoa.
Along the track which leads to Ma'an, many football fields and churches, as well catholic as various Protestant currents. The Christian religion seems to have taken the step on the animists traditions although from time to time, the evocation of sorcery re-appear...

We spent six days in a small Ntoumou village a few kilometres from Ma'an: Zoetele . It is with warmth that the inhabitants accomodated us eager to show us their forest and what they do.
